'Ford near the mill', v. myln , ford , cf. South Milford 58supra ; the ford was also called Milefordvath 1226 FF, Milforthwath '1371 Works (v. vað 'ford'); the stream Milfordic 1226 FF is referred to in the name of William Over the watre of Milford 1356 YD xii, 106.
