Etymology

'Stream flowing into the R. Ouse (RNs.)', v. burna . The stream is now called Ouse Gill Beck (5supra ). 'Magna ', 'Great' and 'Grant -' (OFr  grant ) to distinguish it from Little Ouseburn 4supra .
