Flashley Carr, Flaxcleyker 1241 AD v, Flaxley Carr-end 1539, 1559 Hnt. 'Clearing in the swamp', v. flask (with Flax - as a metathesised variant, later replaced by flasshe ), lēah , and kjarr 'marsh'.
