Bythorn Bank [baitə·n] (6″) is Byett Hyrne , Byte Hyrne 1524Wisb .'Nook in the bend,' v. byht , 'bend of a stream' and hyrne . The bank runs along the Old South Eau and is near a sharp bend in the stream.The spelling pronunciation [baiθə·n] is also heard, v. Addenda lx.
