Etymology

Possibly 'bramble ham(m),' v. brame . Cf. Braham (WRY), DBMichelbram , Litelbram , Braham 1242 Fees, Bramham (WRY), DBBram(e)ham , Braham , and for Breame , Bream's Fm and Braham Hall (PN Ess 257, 333). Bramewere was a fishery of the monks of Ely, v. wēr .
