Etymology

Kiddimoor Green, Kyrremore , Kyr (r )ymore , Kerrymore 1383, 1387, 1723Ct , 1484MinAcct , Kerrimore Green , Kerrymore Green 1688 Overseers for Poor (Mara), 1611 QSR Enr, 1661 Lease (NCBrewood), The Kerrimores 1661 ib, Kudimor , Kudymor 1308 Ipm, Kiddemore 1874 Hickes-Smith, Kadimore 1659 Deed (NCBrewood), Kid(d)imoor (e ) Green 1755 Bowen, 1775 Yates, Kiddermore Green 1834 O, and cf. Kiddimoor Lane infra . The earlier forms with a kyrre - base look like ON  kjarr (ME  ker) with -ig ending; it would then mean 'marshland where brushwood grew'. The later forms in kiddi - are clearly corruptions.
