Dudwick Cottage, Dudwick Farm, Dudwick House, Dudewic 1198 FF, cf. Hervey de Dudewic 1199 FF; Dud (d )a , a common OE pers.n. (Redin 63), and wīc. “In the time of Richard I” (1189–99), Kinesthorpe and Dudwick “were two hamlets belonging to this town” (NfT 194).
