Etymology

The forms are too late for any certainty. The name may go back to an OE  Ealhberhtingtun , 'farm of Ealhbeorht ,' v. ingtun .Cf. Alpraham (Ch), Alburgham DB, Alpram 1259 Ct (DEPN).
