Etymology

LOPINGHAM (lost), Lobingeham (5x)1086 DB, Lopingheham c.1115 LS, probably 'the homestead of the Loppingas ' v. hām , Loppingas denoting 'the people of Loppa ', as suggested by Ekwall, PN -ing 145. Although the form in Lob - occurs five times in DB, it seems more likely that the LS spellings is to be preferred, for the OE  pers.n. Loppa appears to be the first el. in Lopham Sf and is found in Loppan cumb 947 (14) BCS 828(S 524) and Loppandyne 1000–02 (11) BCS 1289(S 1486). The site is not known but was presumably in East Halton or Killingholme, v. further DB lx-lxi.
