Laggar Lane, Lagger 1838TA . The word lagger appears frequently in Gl minor names and f.ns. and was reported as a Gl term for 'a narrow strip of unenclosed land uniting two parts of a farm, a broad green lane' (EDD s.v.). Its origin is not known.
