Etymology
Stock Well, cf. Stokkesbroke 986 (Ric 2) KCD 654, which is probably the stream running between Stock Well and Stock Fm & Stock Hill in Oldbury upon Severn (9supra ). The stream and the well may therefore be named from the latter.
