Lineover Wood, to lind ofres heafdan c. 800 (11th) BCS 299, Lyndover coppice 1575TRMB , Lindover 1641 Inq, Lineover Wood 1777 M.'Lime-tree bank', v. lind , ofer 2 , hēafod 'head, hill-top'. The boundary point in BCS 299 must be at the south end of the wood at the top of the steep bank on the Gloucester-Andoversford road (grid 144– 986186).
