Shipton
Parish in the County of Gloucestershire
Etymology
There were two parishes, Shipton Oliffe and Shipton Solers which were united in 1776. Shipton Oliffe was largely surrounded by Shipton Solers and the lands of the two parishes were curiously intermixed.
