Etymology

'Wrabba 's projecting land,' v. næss . Wrab (b )a is not found independently in OE, but is found also in Rapton (Sf), Wrabetun 12th BM, whilst its existence is supported by the surname of William Wrabbe in a Somerset Assize Roll for 1256.
