Etymology

Woodrolfe Creek (1″), Woodrolfe Fm (6″) is Wood Hoope 1577 EAS xvii, 1579LP , Wedope , Wydop 1589LRMB , Woodup 1777 C, 1805 O.The second element in the modern form is clearly a late corruption, for there is no doubt that the identification is correct.It was originally hop. Farm and Road are locally known as Woodrope .
