Garnish Hall is Rothinggernet 1383 IpmR, Garnettys , Isabelgarnettes t. Hy 6, 1507Rental , Olyff Garnets 1539 LP, Olives and Garnet 1591–6 ChancP, Garnetts-hall 1768 M. William Gernet held a quarter of the manor of Rothing St Margaret in 1314 (FF). John Olive of Dunmow (v. Shingle Hall supra 476) put in his claim. William Olive held this in 1360 (M ii, 473).
