Blastford Hill (6″) is Blaster Hyll 1542Ct , Blasted Hill 1768 M, 1805 O. According to Morant (ii, 93) it was called the fee of Blasterds otherwise styled Blastfordhill , Blasthill , Blasterhill , Blastedhill or Blastwoodhill . It is perhaps to be associated with the family of John Blasted of Chignall (1523SR ).
