Blunts Wall is Burstede Bl (o )unt 1291, 1323For , Bl(o)untzwallys , Bl (o )untz walles 1526FF , 1539 LP, Bl (o )unteswalles 1544 LP, and takes its name from the family of Bartholomew Blund (1198 FF), which also held Great and Little Blunts infra 244. Walls has reference to earthworks which still partly remain (M i, 197).
