Etymology
Ripple Level, Rippleside and Ripple Marsh (6″). Cf. OE rippel , 'strip,' here, no doubt, the higher land along Ripple Road (6″), north of the marshes and Ripple Level. Cf. Ripple (PN Wo 158).The ward was one of the four divisions of the ancient parish.
