Etymology

'Thori or Thuri's estate', Scand pers.n. ON  Thórir , ODan  Thorir , Thori or Thuri + tūn (v. also neoðera , uferra ). The exact form of the pers.n. is uncertain, cf. SPNLY 307ff, SPNN 411 ff.
