Hayne Fm (ST 214009), Hayne Bridge & Lt Hayne, Hayne Lane, Hayne 1606 PN D, probably to be associated with John atte Heygh '1332 SR, from hay (OE  (ge)hæg) 'enclosure, holding', atte ; for the form Hayne from the ME  wk.pl. heghen , common in Devon p.ns., v. PN D 129–30.
