Etymology
Preston is in the liberty of Sutton Poyntz, v. note under Culliford Tree hundred supra and v. Sutton Poyntz infra . In 1933 part of this par. was transferred to the borough of Weymouth, part to the par. of Bincombe, and the rest to the par. of Poxwell for civil purposes (Kelly).
