This par. was formed in 1894 out of the old par. of Wimborne Minster. Part of Hampreston par. infra (Pilford, Middle Hill, Canford Bottom, etc) was transferred to this par. in 1913, and in 1933 part of this par. was transferred to Wimborne Minster.
