Etymology

Bradham Fm (6″) is

Bradeham 1167, 1172 P, c. 1210–16 HMC iv, 64, Bradeham Regis 1176 P, Bradeham in Widecumb 1212St Nicholas , Bradenham 1230 P, Brodeham 1275 RH, Brodeham juxta Lytelham 1327Ass 'Wide' or 'large ham(m).' This was originally a royal manor till 1205, when it was granted by King John to St Nicholas priory, Exeter. 'Broad' in contrast to the adjacent Littleham.
