'Palling 's farm,' v. tun . This pers. name appears as the first element of Paddenswick (Mx), Palyngewyk 1270 FF, Pallyngeswyk 1380 BM, Pat, Palyngeswyke 1487 Ipm and is recorded as Palinc in a Lincs Assize Roll of 1219.
