Etymology

'Dunt 's torr.'This pers. name is not actually found, but seems to be the first element of Dunsfold (Sr), Duntesfolde 1291 Tax, Dontesfold 1303 Ch and Duntisbourne (Gl), 1102Dontesborne PN Gl 56. For the modern form cf. Winstow infra 480.
