Etymology

'The ash.' The family of Radulphus , Ralph , Raf , held the manor in 1198 (FF). 'Rose ' is a late corruption of 'Rafe 's , Raves , Rawes .' Cf. Rousdon and Rosehayne infra 647, 653.
