Etymology

Possibly 'Farman 's farm,' v. tun . This pers. name is of Scandinavian origin, but the place-name may be of late origin and such an Anglo-Scandinavian name would go with Grimston and Oldstone supra 316, and Gripstone infra and Dorsely infra 325.
