Etymology

'Cyneheard's farm', from the OE  pers.n. Cyneheard and tūn, with inferior , neoðera , and brycg . Kinnerton gave name to Kynerton Lane 1594 Morris (via de Kinarton 1250 Dieul (159 supra ), Kynarton Lane 1540 Morris, Kynnerton Lane 1573 ib, Kynnarton Lane 1573 Sheaf, leading from Chester to Kinnerton, 109–340620 to 380625, v. weg , lane ), cf. Lache Lane 336infra . Kinnertonbridge Fm was Kinnerton Hall 1842 OS, the Hall 1671 Sheaf, Kenerton Hall 1752 Sheaf. Higher Kinnerton is in Fl (NCPN 212) as also the adjacent Broughton.
