Etymology

'The hām of Dull (a )'s people,' v. ingahām . This personal name is not on record, but is probably from the stem of OE  dol ,'dull.' Cf. OHG  Dolleo and, for the derivative Dylla , cf. Dillington (PN BedsHu 269–70). See also PN in -ing 139.
