Etymology

'Crocc 's farm,' v. tūn . Cf. Crocc t. Cnut (Searle). This name is ON  Krókr which is found very early in Croxall (St), Crokeshalle 942 (13th) BCS 773. Cf. also Croxton (Nf), Crochestune c. 1050 (12th) LibEl.
