Brooks's Copse

Early-attested site in the Parish of Medmenham

Etymology

It is just possible that this is the last trace of the Domesday manor of Broch (264 b). If we may trust the rubrication in DB that manor was in Desborough Hundred. This is the only name in that Hundred which in any way resembles it and it is to be noted that Lysons (605) speaks of a manor of Brock in Medmenham.
