Ginions Field (Fm)

Early-attested site in the Parish of Chipping Wycombe

Etymology

This is the last trace of the manor of Gynaunts Fee which takes its name from one Gynan whose widow married Thomas of Wycombe (P 1171). It included a mill known as Gwynauntes mulne (Miss 142) or Gyuant (sic)mylle (Godst 89). It now forms part of Wycombe Marsh.
