Aldwick Hundred

Hundred in the County of Sussex

Etymology

This hundred was known as Pagham Hundred as late as 1428 (FA), early forms being Pageham (1086 DB), Pacheham (1167 P), the meeting-place being presumably at Pagham itself, though alternative possibilities are suggested by the name Tinhale infra 92. It is now named after Aldwick in Pagham.
