Etymology

. Dr Loveday informs us that this is known locally as Kalabergo 's Hill after an Italian travelling jeweller who was murdered there by his nephew in 1852 . The story is told in Shoemaker 's Window by George Herbert ( Oxford 1948 ) , p. 88 .
