Coton Fm. Cf. Cothamhul early Hy 3AOMB , Cotes 1316 FA, Cottes alias Cotton 1551–2Survey . Coton alias Cotes appears frequently in the 17thBodl . The modern name is from cotum , the dative plural of cot(e).
