( 6 ″ ) . Miss R . M . Marshall , Oxfordshire By - Ways 58 , speaks of this inn as the Talbot Arms . Under either name it commemorates , as she points out , the Talbots , the Catholic earls of Shrewsbury , who owned the manor of Heythrop in the 18th century .
