'The farmstead, village, estate on a hill-spur', v. hōh , tūn , identical with Holton le Moor PN L 3, 31 and Holton cum Beckering LSR. It is described as being near Great Grimsby, Humberston, Tetney and Waithe, and today is distinguished as Holton le Clay, situated as it is on the clay.
