Burford Lane, Burford Lane Fm
Other OS name in the Parish of Lymm
Etymology
, 1831 Bry , cf. Burfords , Burford Lane Croft 1837TA , also Mill Lane infra . Burford Lane ( 6 ″ ) extends 101 – 705860 to 698875 , but in 1842 OS from 705860 to 703885 , that is , to Warburton Bridge on R . Bollin . The evidence is not sufficient to prove a derivation ' ford at, or to, a stronghold ' , from burh and ford , which would be relevant to the location of Weardburh at Warburton , v. 34supra .
