Etymology

'Dēora 's farm,' v. ingtun . Hindurrington seems to be a name for a lost place in the parish, from OE  higna, 'monastic or other household.' Cf. Hindon supra 191. It probably represented the holding of the nuns of Amesbury (cf. 1270 Ch).
