Sevier's Barn (6″) is le Sevyeres in 1357 (SAC 54, 131), Siviars 1635 (SRS 14, 26). From the occupational name Syuyer , Seuyar , 'sieve-maker,' found in West Wittering in 1296 and 1327 (SR).
