Hat Hill
Early-attested site in the Parish of West Dean
Etymology
Hat Hill, cf. the Hatt 1640Rental . The hill may be so named owing to some peculiarity of shape. Similarly Hatt (Co), la Hatte 1335Ass and Hett (PN NbDu 113).
