Comperscrosse 1538Ct , Comps crosse 1587Ct , Compost 1724 B, Comphouse 1823 G, and is to be associated with the family of John Comper , who probably was of the same family as Richard atte Compe of Wartling (1327 SR) and Mabel atte Compe (1335Ct ), v. camp .
