Bucklandhill Fm is Bokelyng 1435 AD iii, Bokelynge 1461 AD iii, Buklinghill 1547Ct , Bucklinge Hill 1578Ct Requests . This is probably a compound of boc and hlinc , 'beech-tree hill.' Cf. Ekwall, PN in -ing 29.
