Etymology
Brinscombe (lost) is Bronescomb , Bronescumbe (1275 Ipm, MinAcct ), Brimescumbe (1275MinAcct ), Brunnescumbe (1325 Ipm), Breneskomb (1330 Ipm). 'Bryni 's cumb,' with the same pers. name as in Brinfast infra 73. It was in the neighbourhood of Singleton and West Dean.
