Rayland's Fm
Early-attested site in the Parish of Horsham
Historical Forms
- atte Rye 1296 SR
Etymology
Rayland's Fm (6″) was perhaps the home of Ralph atte Rye (1296 SR) (v. æt , eg ), but the land lies rather high, so that perhaps he came from elsewhere and the name is not of local origin.
