Etymology

'Priests' farm,' v. preost , tun . East to distinguish from West Preston in Rustington infra 173. Also distinguished as Preston Milers (1288Ass ), Preston Milliers (SRS 4). It was held by Hunfridus de Millieres in 1179 (P).
