Etymology
Poulter's Corner (6″) must be by the place called le Pollet trew in 1418 (Harl AA 3), Polletre (1518Ct ), i.e. the polled or pollarded tree. Cf. Polledetrow (1430) and Polletre (1516) in Ct Rolls of Marlpost.
