Etymology

Freckley Wood (6″) is Frickleye house (1572Ct ) and was the home of Richard de Frikele (13thAsM ). This suggests a pers. name Fricca (perhaps from earlier Friðica ) and leah . Cf. OGer  Fricco (Förstemann PN 522).
