Etymology

Middlemore Fm is Micklemoor 1774 F, Middlemoor 1826 G, and is identical with Michelmoreslade 1591DuLaMiscBks , the modern form being corrupt. 'Big marsh,' v. micelmor , slæd .Monksmoor (6″) belonged to the monks of Daventry priory.
